Toddler Muffin Tin Lunch

This simple meal served in a muffin tin is perfect for the little toddler in your life or anyone who wants to nibble on little bites. Muffin Tin Meals are a great way to get toddlers, preschoolers, and children to try new foods in a  fun and engaging way. To learn more, visit the Muffin Tin Meal FAQ page

In this Muffin Tin Meal for a toddler:

  • Puzzle piece mini ham sandwiches
  • Sliced green grape pieces
  • Mini orange slices
  • Slices string cheese circles
  • Fresh spinach leaves (A stretch I know, but my kids love them)
Creating little-ish foods was fun!

I love The Lunch Punch brand sandwich cutters. They are easy to use and come in a variety of fun and engaging shapes for toddlers, preschoolers, and children.

For today's muffin tin lunch, I used the puzzle piece cutter. It's part of a 4 pack. The cutters are also dishwasher safe, which is a huge bonus for me. Find out more at TheLunchPunch.com

Disclosure: I was not compensated by The Lunch Punch to write about them.

I would love to know what your toddler's favorite food is!

As St. Patrick’s Day and spring approaches, I though it would be fun to celebrate with a rainbow fruits and veggies themed Muffin Tin Snack. Oh how we love fresh fruit!

Muffin Tin Monday: Cute Creative Kids Food

Hi Muffin Tin’ers! Welcome to another super sweet edition of Muffin Tin Monday. In America we are celebrating Presidents' Day which means we honor the lives and contributions of past U.S. Presidents, traditionally Washington and Lincoln. However, I did appreciate this article in the Washington Post about Presidents' Day and the fun included trivia quiz.
Presidents' Day also means a long 4 day weekend with the kiddos. How about you?
I’ve been tinkering with my iPhone, Instagram and snappping photos of
the muffin tin meals I put together for the kids. What do you think?

Muffin Tin Monday Valentines 4.0

Hi Muffin Tin Meal 'ers! It's Monday and around here, that means it's Muffin Tin Monday. This year will mark the 4th Valentine's Muffin Tin Monday Blog Link Up!. Wow!

From the first year....

This week's unofficial theme is VALENTINE'S DAY

I made 2 more Valentine's inspired MTM's over the last few weeks.

As I was planning my muffin tin meal this week, I just sort of happened to make a leftovers muffin tin meal. I guess I should have used the Muffin Tin Meal Planner! Ha!

So, I leave you with the muffin tin meal above from a week or so ago and this one, just for fun. I used paper cups from Marths Stewart (remember the preview?)

In this muffin tin meal: bananas, carrots, pesto chicken, red peppers, chex cereal, and cucumber slices.

This week, we also made super easy cupcake liner Valentines

Now it's your turn!

Muffin Tin Monday: Princess

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! This is the weekly blog link up where you join me in sharing a muffin tin meal  made for your kids. Muffin tin meals take on many different forms in our house. We serve muffin tin meals for after school snack, dessert, lunch, dinner, and even breakfast. Of course, we don't do it every day for every meal, but we get creative when we want to change up meal time.

Here is our princess Muffin Tin Lunch.

In this tin: Cucumber slices, watermelon, bananas, strawberries, carrot sticks, and organic strawberry yogurt with a almond butter and homemade plum jam sandwich.

The kids tried almond butter this week and loved it! Also, they love the plum jam we made over the summer and we popped open our final jar. :) The sandwich was cut using the crown punch from the Lunch Punch Sandwishes line  They are so easy to use and my kids love getting a surprise sandwich whether it's in a muffin tin meal or their school lunch box.

Did you see the Children's Literature themed muffin tin meal we did this week? Next week I am thinking I might do another heart themed muffin tin meal. How about you?

 I am in a post-kid-birthday-party coma,
but we still managed a little muffin tin lunch with a Valentine's twist.

In this heart valentines themed muffin tin lunch (from the top left): Heart mini sandwiches, red grapes, heart shaped melon, red strawberries, heart stamped Babybel cheese wheel, chocolate dipped cupcake with heart sprinkles.

The larger Stainless Steel Rice Mold cutter I used for the mini sandwiches, the smaller one is a Wilton fondant cutter and the silicone heart shaped muffin tin is also made by Wilton, bought at Michael's (with a coupon ;) )

A healthier spin: omit the cupcake and add snap peas:

Muffin Tin Monday Rainbow Fruits and Vegetables

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! This is the official blog link up for Muffin Tin Meals and the link up that started the "muffin tin meal" craze that you see all over Pinterest, other blogs and such. There are over 150 Creative Food and Muffin Tin Meal ideas on the Muffin Tin Mom site!

I used a plate full of reversed muffin liners to make up this week's muffin tin lunch snack and included broccoli, blueberries, raspberries, celery, carrots and hummus in the center.

After sampling the delightful sweetness of last weeks homemade donuts, I knew it was time for a fresh fruit and vegetable platter. The kids added a new taste to their pallette this week. Hummus! I was so excited. It's a healthy alternative to ranch dressing and other dips and sauces.

We made a fingerprint rainbow craft to go along with our rainbow collection of fruits and veggies in a muffin tin this week. Simple and straightforward stamping fingerprints with paint in rainbow colors. And it seemed  perfect to cheer up this rainy weather we are having.

Muffin Tin Monday

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! The weekly link up going strong since 2008 that is all about the Muffin Tin Meal. Whether you have a toddler, preschooler, or young child, serving food in a muffin tin is a great way to get them to try new foods, have fun during meal time and break up the lunchtime blahs. If your kids are in school, try muffin tins for snack time, dinner or dessert!

We are kicking off 2012 with some Muffin Tin Lunch fun.

In this tin: organic puffed corn (from Fresh and Easy), organic tangelos, broccoli, a wee bit of ranch dressing, raspberries, and apple slices

Next week I will be starting to share crafts to go with your MTM's. For now, I will share this

Muffin Tin Monday

Happy Muffin Tin Monday and Happy New Year! We rang in the new year amongst friends and the last 2 days have been nothing short of a complete blessing. I hope your beginning of 2012 is a full of hope as mine is.
Muffin Tin Monday is the weekly blog carnival that celebrates the Muffin Tin Meal held here at Muffin Tin Mom. A Muffin Tin Meal is a meal served in a  muffin tin, usually for kids as a way to get them to eat healthier, break up the lunch time blahs and have fun with food.

2011 was a year of awakening for our family's food choices. We now eat organically when possible and seek to eat as many fresh seasonal local foods as possible. We are on the hunt for stores and markets that carry fresh local produce and I hope 2012 brings the advent of more farm to table adventures.

Here's how we rung in the new year, Muffin Tin style:

Nitrate-free deli meat, tangelos from a friends yard, vanilla yogurt with sprinkles, cheese squares, raw broccoli, pears, hard boiled eggs and apple slices.

It's amazing how 19 sprinkles can jazz up yogurt!

Thank you for being part on an amazing year for this site. I am excited about some of the wonderful things on the horizon for MTM. Stay tuned for more interactive site features in 2012. I want to make MTM more of a resource for you and will be sharing crafts to go along with MTMs in the coming year.

Muffin Tin Monday

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! No Muffin Tin Meal for us this week, but I thought I would host the link up anyway for those of you that want to connect and showcase this week. In between Christmas preparations and me throwing my back out, we still managed to get a little crafty earlier this week, and made some sweet little Muffin Tin Liner Paper Doll Angels.

I loved them so much, I made a little "Muffin Cup Cutie". Muffin Tin Girl loved them and so do I.

Muffin Tin Monday

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! The weekly Muffin Tin Meals blog link up. We did  a "dipping" theme. Everthing in our tin could be dipped in chocolate sauce! IT was a major hit.
Strawberries, Bananas, Pineapple, Bread Cubes, with sprinkles for toppings.

They each had their own tin with the  choco sauce in the middle on the plate in the middle
The banana slices were an instant favorite!

Muffin Tin Monday: Christmas

Happy Muffin Tin Monday This is the weekly blog link up where we share the Muffin Tin Meals we made for our kids. Over 3 years in the running, this little blog carnival has been the catalyst for some serious lunchtime fun. Here's what I made my daughter this week:
Tangerines, carrots, circle ham sandwich with a Christmas tree

I used a food writer pen to make the tree. Let me just say, not a fan of food writers on bread. While it turned out pretty cute, I probably will try and find something (more healthy) other than food coloring to use -maybe cinnamon?  I bought these at the Dollar Tree. Pretty fun.

Muffin Tin Monday

Welcome to Muffin Tin Monday! Christmas is fast approaching. Providing healthy lunch for toddlers, preschoolers and kids can be a challenge during the holidays. Hopefully, Muffin Tin Meals are helping you feed those little tummies.

Ours is a not-so-Christmasy Christmas Muffin Tin Meal this week. But I couldn't help myself! We just recieved these cutie patootie sandwich punches from the wonderful folks at The Lunch Punch. If you are thinking about a fun gift for yourself or for that little chef in your life, then this is it! We tried their new Sweet line. It has ice cream cone, birthday cake and cupcake sandwich punches.

Unofficially, it's a "Happy Birthday" muffin tin meal (for baby Jesus of course).

Look at these fun creations! Plenty of inspiration for Muffin Tin Meals.
